You are now listening to the UK and the world's favorite wrestling podcast. Archie and Russell with your host Andy and Emma. Ron? Ron?

It's Friday night again. It's not on Saturday. Oh shit. Is it really?

Yes, I do. You're not on Saturday. Not on Friday night. Not on areas.

Just getting ready to watch Supercard on it. Ah, there you go. There you go. There you go.

Shit, that was a good sound, wasn't it? Maybe don't ask me how I'm doing. How are you doing? I'm doing it.

Maybe I'm having some sort of seizure. Thought you were in more reasons before. Oh Jesus. That was so weird.

So we went to a charity shop. Jesus Christ, I'm not going to be good on it. We dropped, I did a big saw. We just saw ages ago and got some back and we got rid of a bookcase which is a huge deal about loads of books.

Replaced it with a stack. Yeah, with a martial stack for our priorities. In a war bedroom flat. In our little tiny hallway we've had these like bag for lifetime big canvas bags piled up on top of each other.

Some of which contain books we're keeping, some of which contain shit that we get rid of. So it's like right, time to get rid of the shit ones today. So we took them to the charity shop in Echols, one of them and it was heavy. But it wasn't that heavy.

So this is the odd thing because when we dropped them off like, you know, I was really struggling and just getting old of it. It wasn't how heavy it was. But when I put them down in the charity shop, I was like, I'm really out of breath here if you're like an asthma attack. And I wasn't.

Then all the way because we went to the supermarket, just got a few bits. I just felt really out of it. I was like, oh honestly people, why am I trying to get into an industry where the whole sole purpose of it is to look after people. I just, and obviously in that situation, it's a different ball game.

You know, people in hospital or whatever it is. But I just, every time we go out, I'm constantly reminded by how ignorant and rude people are. And I'll be trying to badge you out the way to fucking trolley. And what also, you know, comes to mind is just how like loud everybody is and obnoxious.

Like the walking, you know, sometimes you can find it funny, like we've walked away from it. Where am I going? Oh, are they doing wearing a mask and all that kind of thing from previously? But today, I was just like not in the mood.

No, no. There are some days where people, you just, you know, we could shit, just can't be asked. I was in an all right kind of mood. Didn't bother me today, people.

Well, it's the, it's the pickers, the Amazon pickers that do my fits in. Yeah. Oh, they piss me off because they're getting timed. The picking, they've got a pick and got people really fast.

So they run around that place and they don't give shit if they bash into it. If they get in your way, if they pull up in front of you, you're just about to lean and get something. And I just want to punch him like, I know it's not their fault because they're only really, really shit circumstances. The way they work, what, for me and I and a little rats, little rats all over the fucking seat.

It's always about 12 years, old, aren't they? They're actually a little faster. Get them, get them yours. Yeah.

Jeff Bays off the Pays off. The reason why we're less tolerant of people is because we're getting older. I used to work with them out called Rick when I was, I was like 22 and Rick. I think Rick that was in his like mid 60s.

Do you need to charge the bay? Yeah, rather why. Yeah. That one.

That one. That one. The advertising industry for fucking dogtages and all this stuff. He's got a fight with podcast actually about the advertising industry.

Where someone... I've never thought anybody would ever say that. No, no, it's sort of is a BBC news reporter or what, it used to do Radio One. Shit, what was it present?

It was like, it's called Steven Blair's. So he'd be like, when it was news be, it got, now we'll go to Steven Blair's at Blardi Blar. So, but yeah, Rick said, I remember, he's always stuck in the head. I've not been to the cinema for about 20 or 30 years.

And he said, because why would I do that? Why would I go and sit with the great unwashed? And obviously I'm 22 and I'm thinking, what do you mean? What do you mean?

And as an older, I'm understanding Rick more and more ways coming from that. Yeah, 100% will because we've, we've even said this on the show. I'm sure we are, that we got, because we've often on for the last 10 years, we've had those Odeon cards. Oh, yeah.

And at the moment, the Odeon card is 12, you know, outside of London. It's 12, 99 a month. Now, obviously we didn't look at what the current ticket prices are before we got it. But 12, 99 a month is ridiculous.

It used to be like 18, 99 a month. I don't know, it's like six-way difference. But when it is six-way difference, you think, oh shit, that's like, you know, maybe another film. And that's kind of what it is, because Odeon Saver tickets a six-way all the time, which most screenings are things that are over two weeks older, although you're in screening, Odeon Saver screening.

So it's only like first week, second week, if it's a massive film, where you're going to be paid. I think it's like nine pound. And they've got the iMacs, which is 15, but it's a five for us. Yeah.

I mean, I think the iMacs. 15 quid. It's £15 to sit in a room and watch a movie. Now, I know we've always paid that much money.

It's just in the norm for so many years. Well, that's pre-coded. If we went just to the cinema without the card, you're talking easily, you're going after you bought a popcorn and a drink as well. Yeah, it's a great money.

And it's so much just for, you know, two hours, maybe three hours, if it's a fucking marble film. I forgot why I was going to go in with that. Oh, yeah. But, you know, we start at the back for Batman, because dumbass ear, looked at the booking thing and thought, oh, that's the front, because obviously, you know, when you buy tickets to a show, it's the other way around.

It's just like, yeah. So since then, we've been like, sitting like, roby. And that's great, because you don't even fucking know anybody's there, or like the novice. Nobody else is there anyway, which is a great film, by the way.

But yeah, I totally understand where he's coming from. I think you just start getting a little bit more. And I think it bleeds into everything, and you know, to pull it into the wrestling thing is why, you know, we don't just watch, it's why we don't review NXT 2.0 on this show. Because when you get older, and especially if you're doing it as a hobby, you're not being paid for it.

These people are like in their fifties and they're getting paid for it. Oh, excuse me. That's normally followed by another two, so apologies if that happens. You know, if they're getting paid for it, fair enough.

They're paid for what? For like reviewing, you know, if they're doing a podcast and they've got to review everything. Fair enough, but it's like the older you get, the less patience you get. For it to put up with other people's shit.

You just, time goes really fast. You're running out. People are getting all down, you're running out. So you just think, I'm going to do less of the shit that does my tip in, and spend time with less of the people who wear shit bags.

Yeah, so like a slight example of that yesterday is when we were going to the cinema. And it's not a thing that kind of lingers with me, because it's like a passing thought, and then I'm away. Well, you know, we're queuing up to show our tickets from the train to get out of the train station at Dean's Gate. And it's one queue.

And then because there's nobody coming the other way, the other attendants says, oh, next please. And this fucking cunt is the only word you can describe for her. Like, was behind us and like, ran right round us to get there. And then I'm sure we like nearly passed on the stairs on the way down.

And you just think, fuck me, like, what is wrong with people? But it is what it is. It's just being, I'm just getting older. It's an older and grumpy, eh?

Yeah, but a way in which you can alleviate that is to limit the thing. So I will say how my obviously into not looking at Ragsheet, is listening to Ragsheet's podcast is sort of because I don't think I did listen to Ragsheet's podcast. But yeah, I'll let you know how that's doing when I get into the main show. So how are you?

Yeah, I'm cool. More like that little pumpy farty sandwich just so it doesn't feel like my vaporiser. Not just like one. I was just letting one really.

Which would be totally understandable and absolutely fine because you're in your own home. What do we pump you on the beach around the day? No, God, no. So we're going to get a 10 years and we've not farted in front of each other.

Well, yeah, I've got just not accidentally. Yeah, because it's the sign of, it's the sign of you not asked anymore. Because like when I'm on my own, I'm not asked. I'll rip one out, smell the roses and then carry on with Elden Ring.

But when we're together, if I just sat there and was just openly ripping them out, it's like and you were just walking them back. It's like we're playing fucking. I have never farted. Never.

In my life. Or have I ever had to poo? Nope. Because girls don't poo are pumped.

Only Java women do that. Not sure. Not for women poo's are pumped. It's a weird thing.

It's a weird thing. It's a weird thing. It's a weird thing. It comes out by the way.

But I know it sounds deaf, but I've always been that way inclined. And I'm sure people listen to me like, Christ, that's a bit strong. But I do think it's a sign of you don't give a shit anymore. Because you wouldn't in the first, in my head.

And I'm sure there's things that I do that now that in the first six months I didn't do. So I'm sure I'm a massive hypocrite when it comes to this. But for that in particular, for the first six months of a relationship, you wouldn't openly fart in front of the person you have. Or if you do, I mean, whatever.

I was watching a very very shit dating show on BBC before. And one of the couples were selected by the other couples to go in like, a funny man, sweet of this filler to spend a bit more of the like one on one time together. And in the morning, he just let one out. Just let one go.

What does that say to you? I don't give a shit about it. Exactly. Yeah.

Don't give a fuck. And that's the thing, because if that like, you know, some people find it funny, you know, yeah, I find it funny. Yeah, they are funny. However, you know, when you with the person that you with like in a relationship, say in my opinion, if the odd one like seeps out and is in a state, you know, that is funny.

But it's when you fucking sat there just like, just fucking like launch them out your ass. Which if you're on your own, you do because you're on your own. But if you're just there fucking launching these farts out your ass and the wreak, they fucking stink. You've got like McDonald's whaffding fart from the day before cramming up your nostrils.

And you're sat next to me. This person who hopefully still finds me attractive. And you're there like on your phone player again, or watch a film or something. And you're just like, Jesus Christ, he smells like he's fucking dying.

And then like an hour later, I'm like, oh, no, the answer is no. No, do you remember the trampum? Oh, well, the trampum is a very funny story. Have we ever said this?

Maybe, but if you did it was a while ago. So sure. Yeah, of course. I'm just fucking Larry.

So let's preface this with I wasn't feeling very well. And we're on a tram. You've all been on a tram. People, people, yeah, because we're coming on from work.

And I tried to silently let one go because I wasn't feeling very well. And the smell was edible, let's say. That makes it sound like he's yummy. No, no, no, it was disgusting.

No, when I say edible, I mean, it had its own mass. It wasn't just it wasn't just air. It was chunky. Yeah, it was chunky.

It was chunky. It was such a horrendous smell. I didn't for a minute, by the way, think it was on there. I didn't.

I was just like, oh my god, what the fuck is that smell? That's horrific. And you said to me, I was like, what the fuck is that? I was just like, yeah, Jesus Christ, that's the fucking worst thing ever.

And there was a woman on there. He literally went, oh god. Like that. Kind of fell off the tram holding a mouth.

Yeah, it was so bad. And then obviously when we got off, I couldn't. Yeah, you just started laughing. I was like, what are you laughing at?

And you were like, oh, it's me. I was fucking umberly. Nothing. We live in a very small family share of the room.

So we will obviously smell each other's smells. One of us has been for a poo poo. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you've got spray.

We've got a fucking blade or a fucking for breeze in there that smells like vanilla. But if you spray it, it just, when you're going, it smells like shitty vanilla. Yeah, it smells like vanilla. And shit.

Yeah. Whatever spray you go, it just smells like that. And shit. And sometimes you eat the odor.

So it's like, so nothing has ever smelled as bad as that far. And I've been over 10 years. And nothing has ever been as bad as that. You must have been really off.

Yeah, I wasn't feeling well at all. Oh my god, it was somewhere else that. But the whole thing of that woman's reaction, I thought was so funny. It was the funniest thing, because it was like a film.

Do you want somebody who's like, honey acting? And it's a comedy and the guy's not washed in a week or something. And then it's, oh my god. And then runs away.

That's exactly what happened. She stumbled off the tram holding a face. Oh my god. Like she was a fucking art.

She got off the trolling as well. But she was the only one who audibly. So everybody else just edits. I think, if you're thinking about the butterfly effects, I think that's that probably started.

Started coding. No, no, no. But I think that far probably set up a chain of events. And I think I'm going to see now.

Jesus. I think that far made some people reassess whether they wanted to commute to that particular job ever again. I think some people have ended their notes in the day after. It might be in a career they love now.

They might have been out of shit day work. What a fly effect, babe. You don't know the best apple. Yep, the manager.

I just had a fucking go at them for no reason, like they do, because they've got authority without power. And for no reason, they've called them out and said, I want this reporting by yesterday, even though they didn't say what they're the report doing. And they've gone, what am I doing in my life? Oh, that's it.

That's fucking it. And now somebody's dead on this tram. That was somebody's died on this tram. And I'm fucking eating it.

It did have a co-ops like a robot do it. It was fucking special. Because usually you know what they say about you, like your own brand. Not that time.

This brand needed to go back in the fucking bottle. It was such a good actor though, because when I looked at you and said, what the fuck is that smell? It's horrific. And you were just like, oh, yeah, awful.

And you held it. You held it together until you got off that tram and just like pissing yourself off it. Do what I think is funny about Farts, the fact that in America, they don't say pump. Well, not many people in the UK say pump.

I think I only you. I think only you. I've known you said pump. No, lots of people say I've not pumped.

No, me personally, in my life, the only person I know that I said pump, did you? Really? Oh my God. Maybe it's a walked-in thing where I grew up.

Let one go, buffed. Trapped. Trapped. Yeah, but it was Trump and pump.

Yeah, but the two separate words. Yeah, I know that. Well, like, it was always like I've just pumped. Yeah.

That's what I was saying. Just trumps. Yeah, well, it's a localism, isn't it? Because I remember doing a tweet once when I worked in the bookshop.

And the tweet was somebody's just pumped in the cookery section. This is the intriguing tweet-says spot out. Holy shit. This woman was like, oh, God, did you start talking about breast pump, like pumping the boobs?

The milk. I said, no, no, fattied. Like, buffed. Yeah.

That one go. She's like, oh, right. I was like, you guys don't say that. But then now I'm finding out that no one's not on a TV.

Well, I'm sure all the people do, because you dance not a drencer. Can anyone just tweet in and tell me if you say pump. Have you ever said pump in your life about a fart? Please let me know, because I don't want to be alone in this.

Hello, everyone, and welcome once again to our team, wrestling, episode 193, 193. Just let that sink in for a minute like a bad pump. In a week where Suzuki wins his first US championship, Becky gets a mullet. The undertaker comes out of retirement again.

And Rakeesh admits to nearly shitting on Vince's face, we are your wrestling podcast. So thanks so much for listening. As always, I'm not going to tell you where to find it. And you know why I'm not going to tell you where to find it, because you're listening to us.

But where you might not know, I'll be surprised if you didn't. But what you might not know is we are on Twitter. The only social media we even look at now. Which is at RTM wrestling, RTM wrestling.

So you want to join us in a conversation like Leha's, like Axalas, like Chris Arse, and many others. Let us know. Tell us your thoughts on all things wrestling. And more than likely, unless it's offensive, we'll read it out.

And even if it is offensive, sometimes we'll read that out as well. So I hope you're doing well. I hope you're all staying safe. Hope you're all enjoying this fucking mental week that is professional wrestling for you guys.

But for me, it's just another Friday, Leo. Even though it's not even Friday, it's fucking Saturday. Try it's alive. Come on Andy.

Come on Andy. Even though tonight and tomorrow is WrestleMania. I know. It's a bad time to be on a podcast because really, any other year, we'd be like, at this point, go in if you're on a two-nighter.

Is it any time you're not sleeping now? Because our podcast will have been kind of built around the card. Yeah. And it's the first time that we've probably, you know, we don't do that anymore.

We don't build shows around an upcoming card where that used to be the only focal point that we talk about a variety of things. But I'm on the fence about whether I'm even going to watch me. I know we're going to watch it. Well, leave that because that's the last topic.

Why don't we go watch it? Are we going to watch it live? Are we asked? And I can't show you.

And I've been chatting to Lee today about this. But just in case anybody was wondering, staying off ragsheets and not looking at the Twitter homepage and seeing all the journalists, and I say that word very loosely, is fucking amazing. Yeah. And the thing is, is there's one ragsheet that I've used today for some of these stories.

And the good thing about this ragsheet is it's so clickbaity. It doesn't actually tell you in the headline what it is. It says, oh, this person's coming here. That person may be coming here, but it doesn't name them.

It just says, oh, mystery, mystery opponent for impact. A former NXT woman turns up on impact. And it's like, who gives a shit about that for a start? But I'm not messing, sorry, Chris.

You might get him in today, Chris, because of your bashing of poor Axel with Chelsea. So you might get a little bit of that. We'll see. We'll see.

That might be it. And I'm counting on today. You fucking Christ. Well, they've played all right.

They've played well. Brex can get their Ryan Reynolds moment. Oh, Wembley. But Wembley.

It was always written in the stars. They've got all movie ending. Well, hopefully they won't go up this season on X season. That'll make me feel good.

But I think it'll go up through the play off, because they're far too strong of a team. Yeah, so staying off Ragshees and not looking at journalists Twitter has been really good. I've had two real lapses. So I put Wrestling Observer on the other night.

And in the first five minutes, the potential. And the thing is, is that they speculate a lot of what they think's happening. Now, you can argue that they know what's happening, because they're talking to people in the industry. And you can argue that they've been doing this so long that nine times out of 10 their guess is all right.

The problem with knowing a guess is, if you think it's good, you agree with a guess. So I'm not going to say what they said, but it was something to do with Seth Rollins. Right, OK. That's going on the rest of my year.

And I listened to it. I was like, oh, yeah, that would be a really good way of doing it. And then I was like, OK, so if I watch that now and that doesn't happen, I'm going to be annoyed, because that makes so much sense. So if they don't do that, now, well, even if it's, it'd have to be pretty fucking special for me to go, well, that's a better idea.

But I'm still not like excited. I'm still not going, oh, yeah, that's great. And there's other things on WrestleMania from listening to him for the last, not from the last week, but the week before and all that kind of stuff, where if I'd have just saw, if I'd have just seen that on WrestleMania, that could have been a good thing. So I've relapsed twice.

One was going on the homepage and seeing something ruined. Well, it's like a potential thing that may happen, which I would have gone insane for. Is this a thing I don't know? I don't know this.

But it's for A.W. For A.W. But you wouldn't give two shifts. OK.

Well, you might do who knows. But there's something in the works for the next couple of weeks that I would have lost my shit over. Yeah. And if you think about it, you could have put the two and two together.

But based on shit that happened like a year ago. So you wouldn't have been thinking about it. And then if somebody comes out and they challenge somebody else, you'd be like, oh my god, that's fucking insane. Some of you may be saying it to yourselves now, if you've read the same sort of thing as me.

But all that was I clicked on the homepage. And somebody had retweeted somebody that said, that it is an advanced talk to, and I just went, I can't fucking believe this. Literally is the only time I've clicked on the homepage in like two weeks. And the first fucking thing was some dweeb.

So an absolute fucking geek going, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Coming soon. And I thought, why are you doing that? I'm not watching fucking Coronation Street.

I'm not like these marks who like need to know months in advance what's going on in Coronation Street. And I know there's like psychological studies and all that kind of shit that say people enjoy things more. Like it's actually been proven that people enjoy things more when they already know what's going to happen. Yeah.

Hence why they say, hence why the, unless you're going to be reading, then you never advertise a card in advance, unless it's WrestleMania. But that's why they say all coming up next, they're like, oh yeah, but that's all, that's all, well, because that's in the mode of the entertainment. Yeah. The second thing was listening to Observer and saying basically something that could or may happen at WrestleMania.

And I was just like, why am I doing this? Why the fuck am I doing this? You've got to remember that it's only one week ago that you said you weren't. You're obviously, you're going to, it's going to take a bit of time, I think, to completely forget that you need to ignore it.

Yeah. Because it's just been so kind of ingrained to be like looking on the Twitter to be, you know, listening to WrestleMania every day. Because I do really enjoy that WrestleMania. And it's so sad because I do really enjoy it.

However, it makes me not enjoy wrestling as much. I guess the difference is with WrestleMania Observer is that they speculate as well as, you know, what the problem is, is that they're so informed that it's not like me and you speculate and we'll come up with a wild thing. We don't know anything but no insiders there. We don't know any, but no inside secrets.

So when we kind of yes stuff and it happens, it's an accurate, it's a pure accident to have been speculating. But when they speculate, it's based on insiders, their information to them. So it's kind of factual and, or it's as near as damnate factual. Whereas it would be more fun to where I'm actually speculate with no, you know, if you did that, they actually just did based on what, like their, you know, their, like what they know about wrestling.

Just actually genuinely speculated what the delight to see or what they think might happen. But it was based on just their own opinions without any insider insights, which is impossible. It would be great and it would be fine to listen to. No, because the problem with that, and that's the big thing, because the last few AEW debuts that weren't CM Punk and weren't Daniel Bryan, where it was pretty much fed to you on a spoof and by its own, you can't.

They've ruined. Because they've said, you know, like, say, who's going to be the, and the whole reason, because really, if you think about, you know, when Ruby Soho debuted, all the crowd are chatting with Ruby Soho before she comes out. And that's because these people speculate it's Ruby Soho. Yeah, true.

Because they connect the dots and they go, oh, well, really, the only person who's available at the moment is Ruby Soho. That's literally a quote from Wrestling Observer. So it's got to be Ruby Soho. So then everybody's like, oh, it's Ruby Soho.

So the people in the arena are like, Ruby Soho. And everyone's like, oh yeah, Ruby Soho, it's going to be Ruby Soho. And then it is. The problem with that is it dampens your own experience.

So the sting thing is a case in point. We had no idea sting was coming out. And it was fucking amazing. I had no idea Tony Storm was debuting this Wednesday.

No. And when the crowd popped out of their fucking shoes, they give a shit about the match because they didn't think the body was getting anywhere near when he not matched. But they went mad before and mad after. And when Tony Storm was walking out where I can't believe it, because I was certain it was going to be Athena.

Because I didn't think Tony Storm would give a shit because she's got her only fans thing and she's doing her own thing. That's what I thought. I thought, oh, it won't be Tony Storm because Tony Storm, like, I think, and this is a, you know, it's not a digger Kyle because Kyle's doing his shit and he's all good stuff. Well, Kyle put up a tweet.

That was for women. And Athena was one of them and Tony Storm was one of them as well. I think he said, oh, it's Tony time or something. Well, this was like the week before.

Right. And even seeing something like that dampens your own enjoyment because now you're thinking, right, it's either going to be Athena or it's not. But that wasn't too bad. And to kind of stick up for Kyle a bit in that situation because, you know, there's no way you shouldn't do things like that.

Tony Khan said somebody's debuting. So you're insta, you're insta, yeah. No, we did it. We didn't, we didn't, Tony, Tony Storm, Tony Storm was a name obviously we threw into it of like, oh, who could it?

Who's a free agent? Yeah. Is this person, and we thought it was probably going to be an, I thought it was going to be an, that was my kind of like, I think it will be. That one is like, kind of makes sense.

Like, I thought, I was the same with Tony Storm. I thought that she'd work really well in AWS, but this whole long and fancy way out and last week, I think you thought wrestling. I thought that shit. Absolutely.

And that's the thing like, you know, when you spec, that's probably a bad example of Tony Storm thing. But still when you speculate with your mates, you get something, because that's what we are really, aren't we? You know, we're speculating with our mates. We're not getting the sweets from Lee, Chris, Axel, you know, Brian was speculating with our mates.

And that's fine. And Tony Khan said there's going to be a debut next week. That's fine. But it's things that you, you like actual surprises when these like, rag sheets and say, oh, there's going to be a surprise on this.

Or this is who the person's going to be, or you know, I nearly fucking get let one go then. Oh, no. I nearly let something that I've seen today from doing the show. But I don't really mind that.

Exactly what you were going to say as well. Yeah, but everybody else will know it based on how it started. If you don't know, don't pause it and take it back. Because it's, you know, it's not worth doing it.

The thing is that there is a fine line and it is okay. I do kind of feel like I'm excusing ors in a way, because as I say, when I tend to speculate and always go for like my wishful thinking, drinking a ball, then I kind of go, which is kind of hacking back to the Wrestle, WWE time. Yeah. This is what I want to happen tonight.

But this is what's probably going to happen tonight. Based on nothing, based on purely what I've seen on the show leading up to it. But it just makes me think about like, it explains so much about the pandemonium of the attitude era. Yeah, you didn't know.

Well, back then, you know, the world, every household didn't have cable. I think when I was like 14, watching it, 13, 14, not every household cable lost guy. So some houses were still on four, five channels. Yep.

And we had no news. We had no way of knowing that the newspapers didn't cover WWE. You know, maybe you could subscribe to some mad fan magazine, but we know what they look like. There was no such thing as like wrestling news.

You couldn't find out any sort, all you could do was speculate. And then you had to gather around the TV. You had to buy the paper, you're waiting for it to go on for the channel four or whatever. You had to watch it and every single thing you saw on that show was a surprise, even if it was shit.

Which is why sometimes, you know, if you go back and watch old, manious or royal rumbles and stuff, the crowd poppet things that you think, why are you talking about that? Why do you be shivering about that person? But it's throwing food to the staff in because they had nothing. But that happens now though.

And we said this, even last week or a couple of weeks ago, the experience for somebody in the arena is completely different to somebody who's watching at home and TV. Because they're on Twitter, they're all together, all speculating, you know, and I'm not saying that, you know, completely cutting that out. The speculation side of things is, you know, too much because it is a fun way to watch wrestling. However, it blows room in it to a degree.

Because if you, because the whole, you know, do I think WWE is a good product? No, absolutely not. Catagorically, not. However, we would speculate how they were going to do stuff.

And when they didn't do it that way, even if, you know, their way was better or other people thought their way was better, we were like, all right, well, they've not done it in the way that we said. And the way that we said, actually, after 45 minutes of going back and forth out to book this angle, was the best way, whether that's right or wrong. So then you go into it and you're like, okay, Ricochet's going against Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia. Okay, so, you know, trying to do a good 15 minute match, you know, best case scenario, I know it's, I know it's, you know, Brock and he's probably going to win.

But if you really give Ricochet a good outing, it's him with his finisher, you know, Brock kicks out, then Fives impends him, probably best case scenario. And then when you watch it, he gets crushed in like two minutes. And you're like, right, okay. And you're like, well, what on the fucking point was speaking about that for 45 minutes?

But that's kind of what I'm saying. So looking into it too much, I think there's, that's probably the overarching thing, is looking into things too much. So I'd seen, obviously, that there was a super card of honor. I saw on Fight that there was five matches listed on Fight.

And I think it was like Zayn against Swerve, Gresham, Bandi O, Mercedes-Mattina's Willow, FTR and the Briscoes, and one other that I can't remember. But that was the five that were listed. And I was like, okay, well, that looks like a good, you know, like a few people from New Champs, wrong, you know, it looks like quite a good wrestling show. Never heard of Willow before.

Very impressive, though. Christ, I didn't think you were talking about Japan. No, no, it's a one-on call Willow. It was like a really likable baby face character.

It was like very like Laffy and, you know, she's good wrestling as well. So I knew Jack Shit going into this super card of honor show and straight away from watching. So it's fine when they give stuff away. So I'm watching the fucking hour one or whatever they called it, the kickoff show.

And I was just about to tweet, like, got any refreshing where a kickoff show was actually just show matches. And they don't, they don't, I get an eyes over each match on the card. Because obviously, you know, AW don't do kickoff shows. Sometimes they do like a 20-minute thing where they'll show you video packages.

But I never watched that. Nobody watches that shit. I think I have like a high-end match, don't they? Sometimes like one match, it's always like half an hour.

It's not like an hour or like with WrestleMania in previous years, like two hours of a kickoff show, where they talk laboriously about every match that's on the card. So they're doing their hour one or whatever. And all the ROH television title is going to be defended tonight. And I instantly went, I don't remember seeing an ROH TV title match on that rundown.

It's like, oh, it's, you know, or I was Suzuki, I went, what the fuck? Suzuki's on this fucking show. After I realized that I still had honor club because I paid for it yearly, like an idiot. So when does that renee?

Well, I've cancelled it. So it's not going to renee. No, no, no, but how long have you got it for? I think it's July.

So I think last July I paid 100 pounds. So money flowing like mine. And then I didn't give a shit. Do you reckon that'll carry on?

On a club. No, but we'll talk about that in a bit. So I saw like Suzuki's on the show against Red Titer. So the title was like, holy fuck.

Well, he's not going to win because he's Suzuki. So that's what I thought at that point. And it started going through some of the matches on the kickoff show, Joe Henry came out against Dalton Castle and I was like, fuck, Joe Henry. So the guy who got me into IACW, I'm sure it was Gazzu tweeted me.

Yeah, I think so. And I see WWE video where it was the Venger Boys for a Jack Jester. That was funny. I went holy shit, Joe Henry, the guy who got me into IACW all the years ago, cried, he looks fucking great.

He looks jacked. He looks massive. And he had a match with Dalton Castle, who I love. Yeah, he's dead.

And it was a great match. And we were just tweeting away, like this guy sent the fucking IACW Me and You song. And then the other one was, I sent all the wrecking ball, my lysaricis wrecking ball, where he comes in on a wrecking ball. You know, and that was like holy shit.

Joe Henry's coming out and type thing. And then I just started watching the show and it was like, hit after hit after hit after hit. I know Jack shit about the show. And it'll fuck all what's going on at all.

And it's a one off type thing. And it's a fucking great show. And like, go through like this. So we had a tweet on it.

So at the price 959, but not really watched our weeks before last night. So can't compare it to the old ROH, but really enjoyed it. Thought Alex Aime was impressive. FC Aviis's brisk goes without standing.

Joe at the end was good. But I'd already seen he debuted. So that was spoil. Might have to start avoiding spoils.

And then I said, oh, I'm doing this thing. We can't talk about that. So hopefully you can join me on this actually of avoiding spoils. I knew Jack shit about it.

So Tully Blancheard comes out and says he's got on the kickoff show or whatever. Says he's having his own Tully Blancheard incorporated his own faction. So these two beasts come out, can and some other guy. There's some old dude.

And they just fucking squash cheeseburger and whoever the fuck he was with. I can't remember who he was with on the kickoff show. And then it comes up during the kickoff show. He's like, oh, there's going to be a match later on, which is going to have a November, a debut member of the Tully Blancheard Foundation or whatever they call it, Incorporated.

I was like, oh shit. Oh, so there's going to be, there's another thing I don't know about this show. So that happens to be Brian Cage, which was like, oh, she had not seen him for fucking ages. Then Suzuki wins the television title, his first US championship.

Just think about that for a second. Manuro Suzuki has never won a bell on US soil. And he wins it then. And then Kyle afterwards like, yeah, we're trying to repair the ROH New Japan kind of ties.

And he's like fucking Manuro Suzuki is the new ROH television champion, crazy shit. Wheeler Euler wins the pure title, which I was, there was no chance in hell to me. He's beating Josh Alexander. Nah, fuck he done that.

No joke, that's really bad. I can't remember his name. But it was a great match. Wheeler wins the fucking pure title.

Then the tweet that he's become all elite. So he wasn't even signed. FTR win the tag team titles and will defend him on rampage because the books ran in, even though they were on screen apparently at the same time as Rampage. But we're in the same clothes, which is even funnier.

Swerve went against Alexander in a fantastic match. Mercedes Martinez is now the interim women's champion in a great outing. Gresham unifies the belts against Bandito in a fantastic match. And then fucking Samoa Joe comes out at the end.

And I was losing my shit. Yeah. I had a little nap, like halfway through it. And then Woke up went, oh, just put the end of that on.

It didn't go on Twitter. I was like, no, I'm not going on just in case something happens. Didn't go on Twitter. And then the music hits and how comes fucking Samoa Joe?

Well, I watched it in the morning with you. And I'd been on Twitter and saw nothing because what I do on Twitter usually is I go on trending for the UK, which isn't trending for me, but trending for the UK. So wrestling's never in it. It's usually just, I look at it for news.

So I completely missed that. So I got to watch that and not know we don't fear. Unfortunately, for some fucking weird reason, I thought Smojo is already signed. So I was a bit confused.

I thought he was already, I don't know what the fuck I was doing, dream where he was. I don't know what was going on in your brain. But yeah, that was cool to say. Yeah, it was fucking awesome.

And the whole show, I had no idea. Maybe you can kind of attribute that to the fact that I've not thought a lot of thought into it. But it was just such a better experience because I didn't know anything that was going on. I'm like nine times out of 10, even if you don't know, you suspect.

And it's that suspect element of it that I'm like, that ruins it for me. And this is a personal thing. Like, you know, if you're one of them people who need to know everything, I'm not saying that you're wrong in this situation or there's anything wrong, we're listening to like Wrestling Observer or even us to agree. Because we're going to speculate when we think about things going on and all that kind of stuff.

But I think the key point is to stay away from people like Andrew's area, like Brian Alvarez, like Dave Meltzer, who in all, and they're all, apart from Dave Meltzer, the other two are great fucking guys. I don't obviously know him personally, but we know people who know him. And they seem like really top guys and like, you know, if you met him, it'd be awesome, you know, whatever. But they leak things without leaking it.

And it's unfair. I think it's completely unfair. And the reason why is because they don't have anything else to tell you, you know, they're, you know, obviously there's more professionalism to their shows and everything like that. But if they didn't leak things, and if they didn't, you know, take back Anders, because we know they do, take back Anders from WWE and probably AW as well, to get their narrative of things out before things happen, then they're no different than me and you.

They're no different than Kyle, who's doing great work on the Elite POV now. You know, they're no different than the people who do this as a hobby, because they're just speculating on wrestling. It doesn't matter how many years you've had in the wrestling industry, no matter how, you know, you're still, you're just putting out a product that's the same as every other fan's product. So you have to have something that, you know, elevates it.

And unfortunately, the thing that elevates it and what people can't stay away from is spoilers. And they leak things without leaking it. So they'll say things like, you know, if something happens on TV is like, well, I'd watch that for the next couple of weeks. And then your brain's going like, oh, what are they gonna do with such and such?

And blah, blah, blah. It is best going, I mean, I, again, I always say every week, 2012 is where I first got back into wrestling because I started going out with you and I hadn't watched it since I was younger at Jude era style. So I was still fucking thinking Trish Stratus was gonna stroll out, but like, I knew enough, we didn't look at anything then. Like, we knew nothing.

So like, obviously, it's quite a disappointment and a lot of hope that things were gonna happen. We had no, we'd never delved into any sort of insider points of you, we just didn't get shit. And so we started doing the podcast. We didn't get a shit about that sort of stuff.

And it was more enjoyable. Cause now we, when we went back and watched like fucking summer slam or some shit from like 2013, it was gash. Like it was auto shit, like the show was crap. But we were excited because we knew nothing going in and we enjoyed it to a point.

And like I said, obviously we have disappointments cause you know, I was still in the hopeful stage that people would go over scene or I didn't know how it would be to be worked at that point. Well, it does make a difference. And like it's a personal preference. Cause as you say, some people wanna know, for me personally, we've certain, I've been known for certain films before I've seen them to Google the plot and read the whole plot.

And then I'll go, okay, I'll watch it. Cause I know, and it's not every film, but certain films where I'm feeling all the friends about and I don't know what they, you know, I don't do me very often, but sometimes I do. And I go, okay, yeah, that sounds interesting. I'll find that a sound that story.

And then I'll watch it, but for wrestling, I think it kind of is a bit detrimental to your enjoyment. And you need to do what? I think when you're hanging on a bit of an edge, when it's starting to get a little bit kind of like cynical, jaded, pissy about it, it's a good thing to step back and just go back, let me watch this as I watched it back in the day, which was knowing nothing and just enjoying the show that we don't need to know everything about it. We don't need to.

We've gone to watch so many, we've spent a lot of money. You know, I hate going to watch a theater show, is watch musicals where we've gone in, spent like over a hundred pounds or two tickets and we know nothing and neither of us have found out what the story is and we've just gone in and gone, well, let's just see if we enjoy it. It's like, why can't we do that? We're wrestling, which is something we've invested so much time and money in.

We do a podcast on, why don't we make it as fun for ourselves as possible? It's like, you know what though, I'm gonna run, go back to the social media thing. You've got to wean yourself off, because a lot of it is social media based, because YouTube is even, oh, classes like social media anyway, because I've enjoyed things a lot more since you and I pulled back from social media and it wasn't about getting an Instagram friendly picture in Disneyland. So I'm gonna go back and take photographs for you and I to look back on.

And I'm just gonna enjoy my day and not think about it. And that's really hard for a generation of people who were in social media from day one when it first started and then it just became the norm really quick. Even harder for people to grow up with it from day to day one when they were born, it's all I've ever known. But because I can remember before it and I can remember how much more I enjoyed things, I can ditch it quicker than someone who was like a native if you look at it and that's the issue.

We're also used to it, we're so used to waking up in the morning and picking up our iPhone and scrolling, whereas back in the day, what did you do in your work with the morning goal? Yeah, yeah. You went back to sleep, there's like for another 10 minutes and then you got it because it was fuck all to do. You didn't pick up a book in the morning and go, well, just read for 10 minutes.

And yet we all sit there and just nosey for everything for ourselves and it is tough to let it go and it's not for everyone. But I think for you and I, we're both at the same spot. For us, I think we have to and we have to just try as a different product. The only social media I have at the moment, I have a passive Instagram account I don't post to and RTM on Twitter, I don't know, personal Twitter at all.

Like it's just the RTM Twitter and that fucking dormant Instagram account. Yeah, yeah. And it's, because of that then RTM Twitter becomes my thing, I look out in the morning. So it's like, right, just stop, why don't you get off so we can get the fuck out of bed in the morning or don't scroll at night and just like, keep saying it's the 90s.

Yeah, because it's loads of times when I've said, don't look at it, come watch this and said, like if I've stayed up and watch something. And I have to, and to be fair, I've decided, you know, you keep sending me a text that I've walked up to in the morning, you'll fuss this week next week. I've got a text message from you that says, don't fucking look on Twitter, don't, wait me up, I've got to watch it, I always do, I never want to ruin it. Yeah.
