194: 1997 North Hollywood Shootout

On February 28th, 1997, 2 men went into a branch of Bank of America in North Hollywood.  They were heavily armed and heavily armored.  They quickly got the attention of the employees and bystanders by firing into the air.  A patrol car outside the bank heard the shots and reported a robbery with shots fired.  What ensued was one of the biggest gun battles in U.S. police history..Oh, and it was broadcast live, nationally on TV.  Want access to our first 45 episodes?
