He holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Washington and earned his bachelor's degree from Whitworth University.  After college, he spent four years living in Malaysia and later drummed in a rock band in Seattle for three years. Outside of his professional life, Blair enjoys baseball, basketball, pickleball, and ping-pong.
