194. The Death of Lillia Raubenolt

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Jessica Raubenolt had chosen to take her 22-month-old daughter Lillia for a walk along the bay to enjoy the sunshine and the scenery.The boys barrelled towards where Jessica and Lillia were crossing the street doing over 100mph in a posted 40mph zone and when they spotted Jessica it was too late and Cameron Herrin managed to slow his Mustang down to the posted speed limit before striking them and taking both of their lives.What came next was a trial that was filled with one family that had broken hearts and another that believed that their son deserved leniency because they had already lost money and he had a lot of guilt over an impulsive mistake.
