195 Leadership is automatically transferred to those who remain optimistic

Roger Miller, my co-elder at Pioneer Christian Fellowship, a church I founded and pastored 40+ years ago, spoke the above sentence to me when I was expressing to him how pessimistic I was about things.He calmly said, “Leadership is automatically transferred to those who remain optimistic.” The statement pierced my heart as a prophetic word, as the Lord made me realize I could never be an effective pastor of a church or a leader in society unless I changed from pessimism to optimism!
