In addition to inspiring people and providing helpful insight into life and business based on her lived experiences, Shawnta supports organizations with the implementation and evaluation of socially conscious initiatives. Her background includes culturally relevant and culturally responsive community engagement, stakeholder relations, coalition building, community education, train-the-trainer, curriculum development, program planning, mixed-methods research, program evaluation, and dissemination. Shawnta is the Founder of Cause Engagement Associates LLC, a national consulting firm. She holds a Master of Public Health degree in social and behavioral health from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Columbia College Chicago. Shawnta resides in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area with her son, Zachary.
