Overview – The Test Of Knowing Him. 1 John 2:1-6. The title really says it all in this case, as far as what this sermon is all about. John simply, but powerfully, in this section of his first epistle, tells us that if you a person is really saved, so a real Christian, they will be obedient to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Today I talk about what some of these are, from the Bible, and we take a good test of whether or not we really know Him, or if we just know of Him. What does it mean to know Jesus, or know of Jesus? Isn’t that just the same things said a different way? Do you know Jesus Christ, or do you just know of Him? And if you say, “I know Him”, how do you know that you are correct?
