Nice point. Nice, nice point. Okay. All right, I'm going to start.
Good morning, good afternoon. Good evening. Listen to the old tour car podcast. How's it by Penorados?
Joining me tonight on the live drive is Mr. Elle Milmerstuffer. We're in a brand new Tesla Model 3. Now, I want to get, how's in the driver seat?
The doors, don't we think the doors the way they're closed? There'll be more of a thud. You're more of a thud, like a European style. Yeah, let's not get that far.
Double glazing. European live. Okay. Istanbul on the European side or European as in Europe.
The reason why I just studied in a word is because I want to get rid of the elephants in the room or in the car. So you're in the driver's seat? Now, how the fuck do we go? We're laughing.
There's no stalks. Tesla got rid of the stalks. So the first thing, okay. So on the side of the right side of the big massive iPad screen, he's the geese stick.
So how to scroll? You got to swipe up to move forward. How'd you go backwards? How?
Swipe backwards. We got to bring a park. No, no, no. Just swipe backwards.
I tried it earlier. Okay, swipe backwards. Whee. It goes backwards.
Oh, that's the first. That's, is that the guy neutral? Just swipe forwards. No, that's backwards.
Forward. See? Now the second other foot in the room are the blinkers. So I found out today that the labegenie switches up down like that as well.
So the blinkers, flashes, turn signals, wherever in the world you are, it's up is right. So when you turn the stowels right up the top and then left is down on the left side. That would have been too easy. Now, I've been driving this today.
How's literally got in a minute now? I know it's going to be muscle memory, but I keep looking at the fucking steering wheel to make sure my thumb's pressing the right button. I reckon when this car is like a couple years old, those buttons are going to be worn out. So, but it's cool changing, right?
You just press up button. It's awesome. You're not a... So, what about people with a disability that say have lost their fingers and they've just got to stump on their left hand?
Well, they've got to nudge it with their knuckle. What are they going to do? Doctor Hook, get a little knob on the end of it? Well, buy the previous version.
Now I've got the echo on her side. Does it look like meeting a hot chicken toilet and finding out she's got more? No, it's massive. This is just a massive...
It was such a great leap forward with styling and some features and stuff and they go off and they do something that way. I just wanted to get rid of the elephants in the room and then we can talk about fucking... The that would be the left, right, left, right. That's the unknown.
Not up, down, but... And you know what? You could also be a good idea. Okay?
Drive? Just put a drive button in it. Oh, you're not going to have the buttons? Yeah.
It should have been drive, park, left, right. And then if you wanted to go into reverse, go to the screen. Go to the screen. Okay, because it's a...
Okay, this is all coding. This is all coding. I know. Once you've taken the physical aspect out of it, it's all coding now.
Put that button there. That should have been there there. That fits your problems. Elon.
But don't you like the sliding thing for the kids? No! No! You can use the sliding thing you're used to.
No, like that. That's... No. What about the fancy light that goes right around the car?
The blue's nice. I tried to pick the right colour for you. Red wasn't bright enough. No, no, no.
Blue's nice. When we went to launch, there was some really, really straight away itch to it. It was a cleaner car. It looks finished.
The trim is a lot better. There's a thumb when it... The door closes. The light plus and the reason why it's the reason why it's the reason why it's the reason why it's the reason why it's the boot.
The light goes with the boot. It's clean. Really cool. Really cool.
Really cool. Really cool. Really? A lot quieter.
It's no glazed. It's not quite in your car. Yeah, it is. You can't either whiny and the suspension, the handling mate.
I'm very impressed. This is just the standard. This is the single motor. Not 300-6.5 seconds.
It still goes but you're not vomiting. You haven't got any of those comments in his car. This is like a more normal car. That scared the fuck out of me.
A little light in the speaker. What is it? There's a car next to you. I finally got blown to my motor.
Well done. But in the speaker, someone was recording me. It's not on the rear view mirror. Am I being recorded?
Like what's going on? And then I realized I was mucking around with the car. It was the blind spot monitoring. But a little red light gets lit up in the speaker.
Funny that it doesn't come on when you're stopped. Like when the sates, when they come both come on. They come on when they stop. Yeah, it does remind you that there's a car there.
So you're punching off the lights? It's adequate. Isn't it? That's comfortable.
I really don't see the value in the extra money in the performance because the novelty does wear off. Yeah. And it's not like you buy a sports version of a combustion engine, right? Where there's noise.
Like an S3 six common versus an SS. Well, yeah. And then you can hear down or you know, there's no of that. So the extra money is just for fanboys to go in the straight line.
That's it. Because you can't make it down any faster. Yeah. Right.
It's and really the novelty wears off. It does. I've driven your car in time. Don't do it anymore.
But I know that if I punch it, it will go. I need it. Sometimes you need it. Okay.
But you punch it. Yeah. Okay. But if I punch this now, no, it hasn't got it's got adequate balls, but not fucking big goo balls.
This is still going to be my start. You're going to win every grand light. But for the money, I reckon it's pretty good. So styling the interior.
They've got the big screen. They've got the fancy LED strip going right around the interior to the back seats. The front that the seats are a lot better. Well, they're safe to much better.
The materials better. That looks better. It feels better. The inside is more European.
Yeah. It's a really nice finish. But it's still got the same screen, the same charger. I don't know if they needed that.
But I know you can buy aftermarket a little pod for you. You do have an extra screen, but not where everyone thought it'd go. Yeah. Instead of having a dashboard, we've got a screen in the back and the kids or the adults can watch Netflix while the car's traveling.
They can't but then drive on the passenger. Have that car. They have to come up with it. Put up with it and they can control the fucking stereo.
Because they released it without the equipment. No, there's a weird me told there's an upgrade coming forward while it's headphones and stuff like that. So that's what it's all. Why just why not release it with it?
Because it's not coming. Here's your steering wheel. We'll put the buttons on later. But mate, it's quiet.
It's ride rides a lot better. They set up at the launch of the high speed by a couple of kilometers to get the right tyres because the tyres were speed rated for the top speed. You're not going to be trying to k-an-hour in Australia anyway. So getting the right tyre compound, these tyres are quiet.
You can't hear it. I don't know, listen off, whether you can hear any outside noise. No, we're on the ride. We're on the Humalase.
It's a bit down here. It's the concrete section. We've tar-splitting it. There's little bumps here and there.
Now this is probably a pre-production car because I'm cranking. I'm making a hoo-hob out the stereo. I did crank it and the left's front speaker was doing that rattling noise with the bassier. So I don't know whether it's a loose speaker or something.
So I'm going to put that down a pre-production because the sound systems in these are quite awesome. But mate, I like it. But what's smoother? Mate, it's an improvement.
It's a half a generation step. They've improved the things that they've needed to improve. It's not like a full new generation model, but the front end that looks sleeker. Reminding me a bit of the Aston Martin the new Vantage.
They've got those slim line lights. Not saying it looks like an Aston Martin, but you know what I'm getting at. It looks more resolved in the front end. It looks a lot cleaner and smoother.
The back's got a diffuser. Not too over the top. The back lights aren't, you don't recognise it as a Tesla straight away. They've got rid of the logo, the boot.
It's got T-E-S-L-A. Just in case you didn't know what it was. That's Bill's Tesla. Got it.
Okay. Yeah. I don't know if it's because we got used to driving the performance and it needs a big firmware. And we drive it like a stolen.
I mean, I'll be driving like a stolen. No, no, this is, it's a bit more why? It's a bit better sprung. It just absorbs the changes in the road surface.
It's very compliant. No, the camera. The school runs with this. Yeah, but you're doing more than that.
I can see it. Take that instrument class that was right here we go. Everyone's got, everyone's got head off display. Even if they've got a normal class done.
This thing has nothing in front of you. Because it's going to be self driving one day. But that's just stupid. No.
No. I want to drive the fucking camera. I don't want to look across at the centre. Right?
Look, I'm actually a fan. Oh my God, you take my car. You enjoy it. I enjoy it.
But even noise me. I get anxiety. I want to see, I want to look forward and see how fast I'm going. And I just want to see that.
So when you slow down, the gear thing turns out. I don't want to move my eyes. Continue. What's my mind?
What's my mind? It's got ways. No. There you go.
Doesn't have any apple car play. They've got their own system. That's why I bought a suction mount. They put my own phone.
They've got to see what I mean. This is all just, if I had that suction mount a year ago, I would have saved my license. I'd be more than 10 years. I've got it.
But they're going in the right direction. I'm sorry, I turned it off because of the mic. So you can crank the air con on. We're going to.
Oh, the seats are, can you feel the cooling? Ooh, my bottom seat. Yeah. Oh, you're getting it now.
So that's, it's got the seats. I got the cool. Hey, we're trying to fan down. What's the fan?
There's no fans here tonight. There we go. So that's fair. I like the style.
I was expecting a lot more people. I haven't got a charger yet. So I haven't got the wrongs. You know, I haven't got any of that yet.
I can't see if anyone's looking. Because it's not really stand out. The thing is, there's so many off of them. I know.
Like, yeah, there's, it's like it's easier to spot one of these at a crawl. Yeah, there's a lot more round, but you think that they noticed that it's the new one. They reckon the blues are a bit different. Yeah, I did your Abigail looking for a store.
I did that for the first two hours and then I got used to it. Now, I just look at the steering wheel looking for which part of the press. The blue one's a bit richer. The red's awesome.
I saw the red again today. I asked for it that he had a red press car. I like the red, but I just don't know. This one's not bad, but I would buy the blue.
And I'm not definitely going to get another one. It's, it's, see, any other has it got one touch? Like, you know, when you got a normal thing to kind of store it, you do one touch of the things. It's sort of, it's sort of dinner because it noticed I changed the steering wheel.
So it must know I'm on a straight. So when you press to change lanes, it sort of did the thing. The screen shows what's going on. It's all pretty much the same.
It's got a few extra little panels for the colors for the LED stripe around the back. Everything else is as per usual with the big screen. So if you're familiar with Tesla, it's not, it's just changed a few things. There's nothing that's, but it's been a looking and made their rides a lot better.
They've done a good job. They really improved on the weaknesses in the ride. I, it was obvious on the day we saw it. That there was a lot of improvement.
And that's what I'm doing to get a groundbreaking car. It's, it's, it's my head to and you know, would they have kept selling up? Of course they. I mean, the original idea with, it says is we're going to improve it by upload or downloads.
Yeah. Okay. You can, but I think it's like panel fit and stuff always needed. But everyone wants it.
And you want to, it's been four or four, five years now with the Model 3. Everyone wants the new and improved. Look, I've got the shiny new one. They had to sort of back down on their, I don't want to say stubbornness, but they had to just tweak it to keep it going.
But there's no drastic changes. The doors and the sound cabin with the double blazing and the, there's really nothing they can do apart from improving battery performance distance. That can do over there. So it's the hardware, the suspension, the tires, the sound installations all improved immensely.
Is there more room for them? Probably not much more. The only thing that doesn't need work, and I do agree with you is like the, let's not pretend it's not self-driving. Let's give, let's give a cluster.
The model is in the model X had a cluster. No, I'm complaint. You know, you know, just making an option. Or, or very, taking the dash to make it look like the Persia.
Yeah, that's not a hard, get up, but it's part of the dash. You know what? Okay. Comfortable.
Just for speedo. Give me the heart. Don't give me a cluster in front of me, but give me a heart. Yeah.
Just for speedo. Just maybe with battery, maybe something. Well, not even that. Just that, and navigation direction.
Yeah, directions. That's it. I don't want to keep it's, it has got the satellite, that's a bit air looking, because it's not. Yeah, and you're not getting that.
And you're pretty fast. No, no, it's not. It's not good Teslas. It's not a bad thing.
Like I said, I just brought them out to get my ways. That's anything that's easy. Because you've got your full, what's that? It's Spotify.
Yeah, you've got, you know, you've got all the music in the world and you want to play it when I'm out of play it. But, on top, you reckon hell? No, I'll give you the thumbs up. It's on top.
Oh, because the pickers. No, no, it's on top. No, it's on top. No, it's on top.
No, it's on top. No, it's on top. Now, still recovering from that injury. Yeah.
How's our car doing going? You went shopping over the weekend, my brother? Yes, we did. Are they desperate to sell top-end cars?
That was a fact. I remember when you used to go to a luxury brand, so any of the luxury brands. In their used car department, the guys would at least have been a suit. Let's say you went and looked at a JAGI or a sale Land Rover.
If I went to a Land Rover dealership, I'd be wearing a tie. Yes, or a corporate shirt. Well, I mean, it's a hot, it's summer in Sydney, Australia and, okay, we don't expect to look at it. Yeah, comes working really well in there.
It's great. You don't have to wear a tie. You went in? Now, guys, in Chino's, White, sneakers and a polisher.
What were we? Sneakers. Yeah. What were we at?
A paycheck? What? And they're selling $150,000. They did this, right?
They did this, right? They did this, so $150,000. So we got to look at an A63. That's a second-end department.
Yeah, $150,000. Yeah. And $260. You know, we said, no, we're going to go to the car.
So we want to try the car. So the 53, we pulled it in, they went all over it. Okay. The way they went over it, if they presented their car, they only had to back out in the, you know, in the, in the, in the, in the car.
So the car, the A63 had to back out in it. Like it had, like, the leftovers of someone's. No, no, no, like the bottom of your cigarette packet, you know, so someone's finished it off and, yeah, so, did it smell like cigarettes, isn't it? It didn't.
But, yeah, someone said a car. Yeah. So, anyway, we've gone through it, they've had a little bit of the car, and, you know, they've come back like 10, 15, 20 minutes later and they've shown this 65 grand at the 53. But, and it's like, you can't even get a C300 for that.
It's 100,000 on the 50th. Right. Okay. So, no, I just said, look, it's not going to work.
Thanks for your time. Do you think they said, what's your name? What's your number? You know, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, something else comes up or nothing.
No, no, nothing, no, zero fucking interest. No interest at all. Yeah, I mean, we didn't go there and offend them and say, no, no, you don't want to hunt for me. And then, you know, George is quite serious.
He's ready to do a deal. Well, if they were actually close on the car, right? Then you can start, say, oh, guys, don't let me be a coffee. Let's have a talk.
Right. We're getting close? What can you do for? Yeah.
But, no, not interesting. It was almost like we just do it. Let me, let me, let me, let me, let me let's talk numbers. If you're selling a 300 or 400,000 on a small unit in Liverpool, which you do, you know, just brush people off.
You sit down at least talk to them and negotiate. You don't have to change that. No, I know. But, but we're talking, you're dealing now with the top end of the car market.
But, I make the top of it. Yeah, we do an turn up. We get their name and, you know, you're dealing with respect. Even if it's not going to work from it, it doesn't, you know, whatever, you're too far away.
Right. Sometimes I've been that range will be caught up. Yeah. That's it.
Right. These guys just brushed you. Just, you know, you've got to go in the trade. It's not like you turn like you know, you, but it doesn't matter.
It's 65. Like what a car sells is off of 99. Yeah. So you can't expect to have a 50% markup on a train.
They want to win both ways. We're on the 63 and they want to win on the 50% So they'll be stuck with the 53. No, I reckon they called because we went to another team machine. And specialized in these cars.
And they offered us a 84 on a 2019 63, which was on for 154. Yeah. And I reckon these guys called them and said, what can we call Southeast Year four? And they probably said, well funny story, the guys been here, we offered him 85.
So they turned around and told the 65 thinking, well, if he cops a bathroom, we might make 10 grand just don't drive the car. Yeah. Right. Right.
Right. And we're going to wait. You also went and looked at something. We're not going to announce it yet.
You have it. You paid the deposit. How about a car and some tried it. We will save that for a second.
We will fill that for another live drive. Yeah. So there you have it. Thumbs up.
We didn't talk about the price. So 68 grand drive away. I think there's a few rebates. And we'll there's rebates all across the world.
Yeah. So let's call it 68 grand for the base. It's pretty good. It is pretty good.
The long range is 78k, which I reckon the extra 10k is worth it. If you've got it, performance ain't not coming out from other nine months into 24. And they described it as special. So the question is how fast is fast?
The question is, are you moving your performance? Hit it again. So I look, is the performance leaving the stable? I'm going to take this car back.
I'm just going to go around the block in the block. Okay. Together we'll take it back. We'll do a long range.
We'll do a quick 20 minutes around the corner in the long range. And if that I am so impressed with this, I would consider getting rid of the performance to buy a long range of this. My theory. The way the base one's done.
You don't need the long range. Because my theory is in two years when you want to performance, you will get your return will be better with this because some people drive is going to buy it. But you know what my next step is after this. Well, then there's no point getting the long range.
Do you reckon it's a kick to performance from another year? No, I reckon get rid of it now before another performance comes out. And just what? Right around the basic for a year or two.
Right around this and get good resale on it. So you're going to get good resale on yours because you bought well, right? And then in two years, it's still going to get good money for this because it's going to be a still on your car. And then go big.
Balls out. Take in. Unless we find something big to balls out and say a lot of them will get taken and each. But that's another job another day.
Thank you for listening, Rainos. Review us. More will be revealed. We've got Hillel's car coming up.
We've also got a few little episodes late before Christmas. And if we get a quick drive in the long range, we'll put up another quick live drive in the long range. But like I said, very impressive car. The Tesla's really improved in the places where they had to.
There's still a few little quirky things that you know, this car is three things away from being just an all rounder. No one could complain that you would. For the extra premium over the years, the indicators is if you've done them left right in the side of the circle, it's like a hundred motorbike. No, no, no, left right.
If you've done that, perfect, no one's going to complain. True. Right. No one's going to say, well, that was stupid.
No one's going to say that's it. That's what I'm going to say. Things like push button gear sticks. The gasty.
Right. You could again, you could have done park and drive on the steering wheel. Yeah. That's it.
Okay. I don't belong to the steering wheel. But I know he's saying, think about it. And they head up speed up at least.
So maybe when the new one comes out, it'll be resolved. Radus review us. Follow us on Instagram. You can tell Hillel how to use indicators.
Indicators could have been paddles. You know what? Right. Compinals are now for the other EVs using paddles for region up down, which makes sense.
Well, there you go. Read us. Review us. Like us.
Email the Raving Report. I get well, I have an operation on his knees. So he's, um, meant to take a week off work with the work that I hear. So send your questions to the Raving Report and all talk about look.com.au and bye for now.
Good night. Okay. Which episode are we doing the like, which episode are we doing the Lotus? Which episode are we doing the Lotus?
We have to do the Lotus. We need George in the car. So we can say, George, what happened to your credit card? We traded it like the Lotus after we drive the exit.
After we drive the exit, then we can tell the other guy what happened to the Lotus. Have you ever told him yet? No. No, it doesn't.
It's a full-on.
