Through divine initiative, God breaks into human history to reveal himself and to enter relationship in the terms of an oath, with his people.Unilateral Covenant: One party obligates themselves to another party (or parties) in a way that doesn’t presume any conditions on the other party.Bilateral Covenant: Some level of mutuality or mutual exchange in the agreement.Pactum Salutis: Also known as the eternal covenant or covenant of grace.
