The 1980’s certainly was a decade of change and new sensations in the US and in fact the whole world. This was never more apparent than in the styles of music throughout the decade. From new wave to pop, glam metal and R&B/Hip Hop the 80’s provided a literal buffet of choices for listeners. Within these styles of music were also some interesting, funny and sometimes downright odd songs that became major hits and also helped define music for the decade.
