She supports kids and their families as they navigate challenging life events. Today, Katie explains to us that having  hard talks with our kiddos is a learned skill and why it is one that is so important to develop.In this conversation Katie gives us her tips on whether or not we should tell our kids the truth about what to expect in an upcoming appointment. She also walks us through what age appropriate conversations around the death of a pet or a close family member sound like and gives suggestions on the appropriate language to use to help explain these events to our kids.
