He was still DJ Marvin Coleman as you will hear during his timid introduction. But no timidity with the blends of party music during his university days in Atlanta. At this point Marv had been DJing for 2 or 3 years alongside his 1st partner, DJ Russ, who was a student at Morehouse, also in Atlanta. Special shout out to DJ G-Man from Nashville, Tennessee. G-Man & Russ knew each other from high school and back in the day, after studies were done, Marv spent a lot of time listening to and watching these two go at it.
