Vanessa McGrady is a woman of many talents, of a great sense of adventure, a woman sharing a special love story in her memoir : Rock Needs River--A Memoir About a Very Open Adoption. Vanessa felt the call for motherhood, and adoption was her best option, and a big journey. Her very open adoption involved receiving her very aware and wise daughter, Grace, from bio parents who felt they were not prepared to have a child. When they became homeless Vanessa invited them to live with her and Grace for a period of time.
