Summary

Tulsa badly needed a bounce-back game after blowing a 30-9 fourth quarter lead against now #19 SMU in triple overtime. It didn't happen. TU came out with energy in the first quarter against Navy, but couldn't capitalize - missing a 30 yard field goal after Navy fumbled the opening kickoff, and having a 98-yard touchdown pass called back after Sam Crawford "stepped out of bounds" and was declared ineligible. He did not step out of bounds. The Hurricane looked flat on all sides of the ball for the rest of the game after that, and ended up getting blown out 45-17.
