2.13 Operate In Your Gifts // Alexis Mood

from Walk With TFB · host Timothy F. Bryson

During this walk, Alexis insists that we operate in our individual gifts.  A South Carolina native, she earned her Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. While an undergraduate she was engaged in the Student Advertising Federation, Minority Assistance Peer Program, Homecoming Commission, and the Association of African American Students.  Her professional work experiences span across several industries, though her mission remains the same - to deliver tailor made marketing campaigns that add value, increase brand identity, and generate revenue. In 2015, she founded Shatter the Ceiling, Incorporated - a non-profit organization that provides grants, programming and events to close the corporate diversity gap and provide access to Black and Brown women. Their best-known program is the Shatter The Ceiling Intern Grant, an endowment that provides stipends to women of color completing unpaid + underpaid summer internships. Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard. We are fortunate to have this talented and hard working guest on our show. I am confident her story and experiences will inspire all of us to think bigger, believe bigger, and show up bigger.
