On August 23, 2020, Jacob S. Blake, a 29-year-old black man, was shot and seriously injured by a police officer in Kenosha, WI. On August 25, Blake’s father announced that his son was paralyzed from the waist down as well as suffered a gunshot wound to one arm, damage to his stomach, kidney, and liver. The officers involved in the shooting will not be charged. Jacob Blake’s recovery is ongoing and him and his family are still in need of support as they have yet to meet their GoFundMe goal.
