The Boulder Valley School District denied Ascent Classical Academies (flatirons.ascentclassical.org) a charter. An appeal was made to the State Board of Education and the charter was again denied. Mary Jo Tinlin is a mother who had hoped to send her child to Ascent Classical Academies in the Boulder School District.
