2+2=?

The book used to be one of my favorite works of fiction. These days, I am wondering if it is still considered “fiction” or procedural manual? What book, you ask? 1984. What has happened now? Well… you may have heard that inflation is really bad. You may have noticed that there are long lines at the gas station (I certainly have), and food is getting more and more expensive. So you might think that it could be a supply chain issue or maybe some other COVID related upset that has every government official in the country working diligently to get past the pandemic and get things “back to normal.” Of course, you’d be wrong. You may not have noticed that we currently have “the greatest economy” ever. In the words of one news person, it’s so good that it’s like the Roaring 20’s all over again! Oh… and we’re going to change the rules for how we compute inflation, so by this time next month, POOF! It’ll be even better than it already is!
