2/4/26: The financial mess affecting Ogdensburg and Carthage hospitals

(Feb 4, 2026) Late last year, the health care group that runs the hospitals in Ogdensburg and Carthage said they were in danger of closing due to financial problems. Since then, the North Star Health Alliance's CEO has resigned, and the state says it's still not fulfilling its obligations to get critical funding.
