Asian American Christians have been leaving the immigrant church for various reasons, and one of the consequences is strong homesickness. Wilson Wang and Roy Kim share some of their reflections about missing the immigrant church, despite all its flaws.   Some of their talking points include: Nostalgic and familiar Asian family dynamics at church The centrality of eating together at church Getting scolded at the immigrant church is normal, but getting scolded at a White church is grounds for a fist fight Pastoral visitations are so inefficient, but can feel so good! Obedience to a pastor who knows you vs obedience to a pastor on a screen; and more. Plus, we answer listener questions such as: Is there a way to explain to people why you are leaving church, but without slandering?   As always, we hope that something you hear helps you feel like you're not alone, that there are others in the same boat as you. The Part Time Grappler Podcast Liam Wandi I, Liam Wandi, have been writing The Part Time Grappler Blog for a few years now, which is more than I ever anticipated. I initially started it as a platform for me to both jot down a few ideas on how I think Part Time Grapplers need to tailor their training and also show others in the same boat that we are indeed the majority of Grapplers out there.Today, the blog has become a huge success that has allowed me to interview the greats of the sport and learn their grappling- and time management secrets. Let's listen to what they have to say. WIPs only WIPs only Adulthood can be confusing and stressful. But each one of us is a ‘Work-In-Progress’ and more often than not, there is always someone travelling in the same boat as us. Tune-in and listen to two un-qualified twenty-somethings share their experiences and perspectives as they go through life, giving you a fresh perspective that makes you smile or give you a sense of relief that we're all in this together.
