May was a writer and Leila was a painter. 5 Atlantic Street William E Holmes was a dealer in paints, oils, and other products, with his offices and warehouses on East Bay Street, he built this rental property in the Colonial Revival style 16 Atlantic Street this structure has changed significantly over time, Originally it was a one story frame building that housed a grocery store owned by A.E Stelling. By 1930 the entire structure was covered in brick.
