2.7: 10 keys to help your child study for test and exams.

from Esther's Oasis · host Esther

Hi guys, in this episode, I talk to an amazingly gifted teacher called Christianne who has worked in numerous education settings for nearly five decades. She is a grandma who enjoys teaching her grandchildren, especially over lock down, and she has a degree in Politics and History, an MA in Behavioural Management and a Postgraduate in Dyslexia. Today Christianne shares keys in how to build deep mutually trusting relationships between adult and child/young person; how we can help them take further responsibility for their actions and how and why the skills they learn by applying themselves to studying are transferable to the workplace, relationships and achieving their dream lives. This is a video/podcast which is designed for both you and your child. Here are where the 10 keys can be found: 1) 6min: Give them an “aha” moment, where they realise the need to study, for themselves. 2) 7.12:   Hone the skill of: Listen…Hear…Understand and discuss. 3) 8.54:  Life is about negotiation. 4) 13.42: Armour your child to overcome the fear of being judged, so they can know they are definitely “Good Enough”. 5) 17.49: Perspective. See tests and exams in their wider context. 6) 18.36: Revision techniques. 7) 21.40: Transferable skills. 8) 24.00: How to answer exam questions. 9) 27.42: Special Educational Needs consideration. 10) 31.26:Creating a timetable for individual study.
