2 Chronicles 1 & 2

In 2 Chronicles 1 & 2, Solomon has taken over as king and is ready to get started on the mission of building God's' Temple to glorify and honor God. God asks Solomon what he wants and Solomon responds by saying he wants wisdom to govern God's people well for God. God honors Solomon's faithfulness to Him by pouring out wisdom as well as wealth. When we are faithful to God and His mission with everything in us - heart and soul - God pours out more than we could ask or dream of. Solomon knows that God cannot be contained and doesn't reside in buildings, but wants to build this Temple to glorify Him and provide a place of worship for God's people. Solomon has all he needs and is moving forward to build the 1st of the Temples spoken of in Scripture. The last is yet to come.
