2 Chronicles 20:1-30 “A War Story…”

Pastor Andy walks through 2 Chronicles 20, where King Jehoshaphat faces a great multitude coming to destroy Judah. He responds not by self-medicating his fear, but by setting his heart to seek the Lord and gathering the nation to pray boldly. Drawing from Hebrews 4:16, Pastor Andy challenges the wrong view of God as touchy or indifferent, calling us to come boldly to the throne of grace because the door is open 24/7. The battle is not ours but God's, because He purchased us on Calvary — which means He is ultimately responsible for our problems. God's approach is often not a formula: pray, hear what He says, and do that. He answered Jehoshaphat by turning the enemy armies against each other, leaving three days' worth of spoil. The result was joy, peace, and a nation at rest.
