2 Corinthians 13

Paul's warning that he will not spare those who continue in sin when he visits demonstrates how apostolic authority must sometimes exercise discipline to maintain church purity and truth. His call for self-examination about whether Christ dwells in them challenges the Corinthians to evaluate their spiritual condition rather than questioning his apostolic credentials. The final exhortations to aim for restoration, comfort, agreement, and peace conclude with the Trinitarian benediction that reveals the full Christian understanding of God's nature and grace.
