2 Corinthians No. 27- Aim For Restoration (Audio problems in beginning)
from GraceLife Sarasota · host Joe Davis
This is the last in our series on 2 Corinthians. The first 2:30 of this sermon is missing. The topic is about restoration, followed by a celebration of the Lord's Table. Below are the notes behind the missing content: Humans, especially church people can be very good at managing conflicts with one another. It’s a mastery of passive aggressive tactics, you know because aggressive doesn’t look godly. We can avoid people and problems for months or even years. We disconnect, judge, ignore. The result is a church where broken relationships thrive, peace becomes elusive, fleeting, or a total façade. As a result, we miss out on huge portions of the joy that being part of a church can bring. This is what had happened in Corinth over years, and the reason Paul wrote three letters and made three trips. He worked very hard to help restore that church to himself and to each other, and ends with a clear directive. Be prepared, today could make you a bit uncomfortable, but it’s necessary because church unity is precious, crucial.
