Journalisten Ton van der Ham en Lilit Martirosova deden onderzoek naar de lobby van zaadbedrijven en wetenschappers voor een versoepeling van de regels rondom CRISPR-Cas. CRISPR-Cas is een Nobelprijs-winnende techniek waarin je met een knip in het DNA van een plantenzaad een voedselgewas kan aanpassen, zodat de plant bijvoorbeeld beter tegen droogte kan. Wetenschappers zijn hier lyrisch over. Maar kloppen de argumenten wel? Welke belangen spelen mee? En wat weten we over de gevolgen van genetische modificatie?
