2. Divided: Love One Another

from Mitchell Berean Church - Podcast · host Jon Simpson

This weekend we celebrate mothers. We all have a mother and so we want to honor her and say thank you for all the sacrifices our mothers have made for us. God calls us to honor our mothers and so we lift them up because of the role God gave them to fill. As we continue in our series called DIVIDED we are focusing on the "One Another" passages in scripture. God calls us to come together in a divided world. We are given instructions that will help us create the community God wants us to have. In these "One Another" passages we are commanded to Love One Another. Our mothers taught us to love each other and so it is fitting that we focus on these passages in our series on this Mother's Day. Love for each other is what bonds us and keeps us bonded as followers of Jesus. Jesus loves us so that we know how to love each other. Our love for each other creates the environment in our churches that will draw others in. We need love to thrive and Jesus established the Church so that it would provide that love for all who come. Love is powerful and helps bring the healing into our lives we so desperately need. Join us this weekend as we learn how to Love One Another so we can create the church Jesus wants us to have.
