While she was nowhere near the U.S. Capitol or even Washington, D.C., the events that occurred continue to guide her life’s work.  See, Sarah's husband, Ronald Colton McAbee, a Tennessee Lawman, is being incarcerated unjustly and unconstitutionally for simply being at the Capital on January 6, 2021.  Colt, as his friends and family call him, helped an injured police officer, tried to dissuade the crowd from any violence, and even tried to save the life of a woman whom the police had beaten.  Exactly what a LEO would do, and for that, Sarah and Colt underwent numerous F.B.I. investigations and had their home raided.  Today, Colt sits in a cell, oftentimes in solitary confinement, 800 miles away from his beloved wife.
