2. How do you define diet culture?

from Diet Culture Dropout · host Atheana Brown RD

Diet culture is really loud, toxic and has seeped into all facets of our lives. We daily have reminders from diet culture telling us we are not good enough in our current body and need to be “fixed”. The messaging has become so widespread and embedded in our culture. Which makes it very hard to recognize. This week I dive into defining it, identify ways it comes up, talk about why it is hard to break up with and ways we can minimize it. Regardless of where you are in your food and body peace journey there is space for you here. There is no judgment if you're still grappling with the idea of letting go of diet culture. That sure is a big ask.
