2 kids killed in Berkeley Township boat crash

Two children were killed in a boat crash Sunday night at the Jersey Shore. New Jersey State Police say a 9-year-old girl and 7-year-old boy were killed when a boat they were riding on crashed. Police say it struck a channel marker in the intercoastal waterway in Berkeley Township at about 9 p.m. Both children were ejected from the boat. The children were pulled from the water by the boat operators, Stephen and Laurie Schneider, and later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say the crash is under investigation.
