His ambition and brutality exceeded what God commanded, which highlights tension between divine justice and human sin.God cares more about the condition of our hearts than our outward accomplishments. Though Jehu eliminated Baal worship, like Jeroboam before him, he led with compromise because his heart wasn’t fully devoted to God.
