2 Peter 1꞉12-15 | Put You in Remembrance

This sermon emphasizes the critical importance of spiritual remembrance as a defense against doctrinal error and complacency. Drawing from 2 Peter 1, the message argues that believers must actively retain biblical truth to maintain a firm doctrinal structure, particularly regarding prophecy, rather than relying on fleeting experiences or feelings. The text highlights the responsibility of both pastors and laypeople to avoid negligence by consistently studying Scripture and stirring one another up to obedience. It challenges the modern tendency to prioritize personal convenience over divine command, urging Christians to align their lives with the 'more sure word of prophecy.' Ultimately, the sermon calls for a deliberate effort to memorize and apply God's Word, ensuring that faith remains rooted in truth rather than novelty or apathy.
