In this letter to the Church, Peter emphasizes the reality of suffering for the Christian, while simultaneously offering encouragement and challenge. Peter's 2nd letter to the Church is different. He moves from suffering to alerting Believers that false teachers are rampant, and we must be on guard! We must know what we know!

We must be in God's word so that we can identify false teachings and protect ourselves from the lure of the enemy.
