2 Samuel Chapters 18-19

In this episode, we read 2 Samuel chapters 18–19. The conflict between David and Absalom reaches its tragic end as Absalom is killed in battle, despite David’s plea to spare his son. David’s grief is overwhelming, mourning deeply for the son who betrayed him. Yet, as Israel wrestles with division, David is restored to his throne, and mercy and justice are tested in his return. These chapters reveal the pain of broken relationships, the heavy burden of leadership, and the steadfastness of God in restoring His chosen king.
