2 Samuel Chapters 23-34

In this episode, we read 2 Samuel chapters 23–24, bringing the book to a close. We hear David’s final words, celebrating God’s covenant and faithfulness, and we honor the mighty men who stood beside him throughout his reign. The book ends with David’s census of Israel, a sinful act that brings judgment—but also mercy—as God provides a way of atonement. These chapters remind us that even great leaders are dependent on God’s grace and that His mercy always outweighs His wrath for those who turn to Him.
