2 Samuel, Week 11 Day 1: The Choice Before Us Devotional Every day, we face countless decisions that shape our character and destiny. Some choices seem insignificant, while others carry eternal weight. Yet beneath every decision lies a fundamental choice: will we order our lives toward God or away from Him? This isn’t about perfection—it’s about direction. When we stumble, which we all do, the question becomes: will we turn toward God in repentance or turn away in shame and self-reliance? There’s no neutral ground in this spiritual battle. Every moment presents an opportunity to either draw closer to our Creator or drift further from His love. The truth is that God’s grace meets us in our weakness. He doesn’t expect us to be perfect before we come to Him; He invites us to come as we are. When we choose to orient our hearts toward Him, even in our failures, we position ourselves to receive His transforming power by grace. Today, consider the trajectory of your choices. Are they leading you closer to God’s heart or further from His presence? Remember, it’s never too late to change direction.
