He did not defend Himself against false charges because He was willingly taking on the weight of every true charge that could ever be brought against us. The cross is where every accusation against you has already been answered.This means you do not have to be defined by your worst moments. You do not have to carry the weight of what others have said about you. You are not what your failures say you are. You are what Christ says you are, and He has already paid for every sin and silenced every legitimate accusation.When criticism comes, ask two questions. Is there truth here I need to deal with? And has Christ already absorbed this and turned it into blessing? For everyone who trusts in Jesus, the answer to that second question is always yes. You are deeply flawed, and you are deeply loved.
