The Philistines came. Every other soldier ran. He stayed. He did not move. He fought until God handed him an extraordinary victory. His name barely shows up again in Scripture. He was not famous. He was not celebrated. He was faithful where God put him.Sit with that picture for a minute before you move on.You burn most of your energy hunting a better assignment. A bigger platform. A more visible role. And quietly you wonder whether what you are doing even matters. God is not shopping for impressive assignments. He is looking for faithful people who will stand where he put them, when it feels ordinary and when everyone else walks off the field.Your assignment matters to God. Raising your kids. Serving in a room nobody sees at your church. Clocking in at a job that feels invisible. The question is not whether it looks impressive to anybody. The question is whether you will stand there and trust him.Faithfulness in the ordinary is never wasted.
