2 - The Green Inferno (2013) Review

from The Final Podcast · host Two Guys, One Necronomicon: Horror Cinema Explored

Back in 1980, the Italian horror movie Cannibal Holocaust was released - a disturbing take on the rescue mission of a film crew that went missing in the Amazon rainforest. Although the movie was fictitious, the on-screen deaths of several animals was enough to shock any audience. In 2013, Eli Roth's The Green Inferno was released which paid homage to the 1980 cult classic. The Peruvian rainforest is at risk of a construction company leveling the land, sending student activists on a journey to protect the jungle and the neighboring tribe. In what can be described as cruel irony, the activists become the ones who need saving. Leave it to up to Bryan "Hotboy" LaGrasta & Shane "If It's Tickin', I'm Hittin'" Smith to provide their play-by-play analysis of the gory, horror adventure in this latest episode of Two Guys, One Necronomicon. What should we review next?
