2. The Rest of God: Stopping to See God's Bigness

The worst thing busyness does to us is fooling us into thinking we are God. “All depends on me. How will all the right things happen at the right time if I am not working, pushing, pulling, watching, and worrying?” Unless we trust that God is in control, we won’t dare risk Sabbath…rest. In sleep, we become utterly vulnerable, completely defenseless, totally dependent. Not in control. That kind of trust is rooted in a deep conviction God is good and God is in control. The more we grow, the more God grows us, the more we find God is bigger. The more we are convinced of God’s bigness, his goodness, and sovereignty, the more we will find our rest in Him alone.Support the show
