Well, we've got the first part of Holy Stokes, the interviews with the likes of Ben Raimers, Dustin Dolan and old Chris Paner, but that's how you pronounce his name. That's part one, because we've got a lot of lessons in. We've got to hook you guys in. So, yeah, exactly.
So, part two is going to be the heavy hitches with IOSAR in Raim Cliff Book. So, you're going to have to wait. That's the hook. But these are good interviews.
These are awesome interviews. I did this when I was with SS20, went down for the premiere and they're awesome guys. But we'll start you off with the lesson names if we can say that, because we can say that. They would know their lesson names.

So, yeah, we'll get straight into it with Mr. Ben Raimits. I'm on the boy. So, how was the, yeah, the film process for how you staged?
It was amazing. You didn't have the pressure and the stress of a normal skate video. It was more, let's take these guys on trips and whatever they get, they get. So, I went on a couple of trips because I was busy doing a lot of other stuff.
But the trips are more amazing. The food you see in the video is more of a set. It's not like you've gone to a spot. It's just a bit beautiful with a video.
It's more like the guys were at the spot together. They were in a session and the footage you see would just be tricks that were going down in a session. It's not like planned. So, there was no trick list running on that.
It's not like the guy who went to the spot four days in a row, got kicked up by security. It's more like you were on a trip. Somebody saw the spot, did the trick and the footage that you'll see is the stuff that I guess went down. And everyone was just feeding off everyone's energy.
It's good. Awesome. Was there more pressure because it was like this cute, like cinematic skate video, you know, walking cameras and like the drones and all that stuff. Was there more pressure on it?
Was it you just got to go with it? I felt like it was for me. I think you asked. I think he's done.

Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait. The pressure of like, you know, with the 4K and the drones and that stuff. I feel like the people that were in charge of the drones and everything is so funny and mellow that there wasn't any of them.

It's happening now. You'd be like, oh, it's a bit scary. But the fact that you didn't even know the drone was in the air half the time. So it was, ah, yeah.
It was quite Brussels. Yeah, it's an sneaky dog. It's just a drone up in the air without anyone knowing it. It's self-drone in them.

Straightaway first start. What kind of going? I'm getting pretty old these days. I usually try and get a bit of a stretch on the go.

That sounds good. Sounds good. Okay. So in the video, is there a part that stands out to you don't have to be an individual or just a certain scene or?
I actually haven't even seen the video. You haven't seen it yet? I've never seen it yet. I've never seen it yet.
So I know nothing about the video. So it's a quite exciting thing. I know Dan's a whole part. I've had two chances.
I've had three chances, three times a charm though, because I saw it in New York. But in LA, I got hammered drunk in front row. I was on stage and shit. I didn't even remember it.
I was on there. You know? But... Got kicked out.
Got kicked out. Got kicked out for the premiere. Got kicked out too. Didn't get the scene video again.
But I got the scene in New York. Hey, it's pretty cool. Out of it. Hey, can you remember it?

I'll probably be best out. But yeah. Try not to be as young. So with all travelling side of things, was there a favourite place you went to?
I went to New Zealand and took a spot. I went to New Zealand and took a wee route. It felt like Pedro Vauos. It was a really gnarly group.
It was some of the gnarly skating I've ever seen in my life. I wasn't always skating because it was like I'm around the gnarly skating in the world. Sometimes you're going to sit down and take it in and tell your grandchildren, I saw these guys looking to skate. So yeah, it was a night opening experience.
We went to some amazing places all around New Zealand. It was all parts and stuff. It was a good time. We got some good memories of that trip.
We got a few photos. Any favourite memories? It was just the whole vibe really. I was sober the whole time.
I was like, I don't know why. It was a pretty rare occasion. I just was going on a sober street. So it was like, no drinking at all.
So I was sober the whole time. I could pretty much remember the whole thing. Which is amazing. Clear minded, wake up in the morning, you're in New Zealand.
That was quite a good thing actually. I'd recommend it to a travelling skateboard. One time if you go to a weird country, maybe try and be sober. Maybe not sober.
I would be cheeky. Yeah. Some of you cheeky ones but don't get wrecked the whole time because it's a memory in it. That was a safe trip, right?
It was a really good trip. Did you go there as well? How did you find it? It was safe.
We were camping around a fire with a little farm kind of thing. Super sick. It was a little pig running around too. A little baby pig.
No, a quick ride there. They're a big. No, one person. I like a pet pig.
A pump that's not that safe. No, no, no, no. Pet pigs. Nice.
But that's not how much is well about us. Chilling the house. It was chilling. It was like, how many pigs are like the thing that's in the world.
The pigs were just just like us. It's not in the world. But apparently it's super hygiene in the Queen. They were just chilling in the house.
You'd be sitting on the sofa watching Coronation Street. I don't know what you're watching. There's a pig sitting next to you. It was cute though.
You know, you get pet. It wasn't that big yet. I bet right now, there'll be four sides. A little bit bigger to share.
You got any projects lined up next to the tree? There's talk of a few things. Possibly speaking with the tree. So you're always about possibly trying to do something there.
And just speaking with people who are welcome actually and maybe try and... There's nothing set in stone yet but it's nice to know that there's a new... New bit of time where a new project could pop up and I could possibly try and... I haven't had that opportunity in a while where you can only focus on one thing because there's a lot of project happening last year.
A lot of converse trips and stuff as well as the Volcom stuff so it was quite hectic. It would be quite nice to just have one project to work. I mean, do other stuff but mainly just going for it. It's possibly an enjoy.
Hopefully you're trying to be with them maybe film the part of them. Yeah, talk about your book company. What is your favourite ball graphic of your own? You have your own?
You have a long time and maybe one that sticks out to you? Yeah, I like any Mr. Judkins graphic really. It's like my favourite skater and he's the best guy in the world.
So basically any Mr. Judkins graphic. I always try and like every time I order boards and like can you please send me Mr. Judkins on to you?
Half time it works. Half time it doesn't. All I know is it's like a stick around every time so I like... You've got to be in a superstition about that.
Sometimes it's hard because I get to England and I'm over here and it takes like ten days to get here and there's anyone bold to get like ten at a time. Sometimes it will be like... I think it's a board. It's not going to be my graphic and it will be ten of mine so I'm like oh no.
I can't even spray them. Even in my head spraying them the graphics still there. I can still can't scoot it. Yeah, because I think Mike Mo have the same thing.
He never used to like skate the zone board. It's just like... It didn't work for him. I've done a hard way to him any time.

So, how was the LA for the air? It was really good, man. It was at the A's theater. And it's like pretty big theater.
And it was completely packed. Like full. And, yeah, the moment it got us up on stage. And you actually looked into the whole place.
Like, holy shit. This is actually really crazy. Nice. And, yeah, that was awesome.
People really stoke on it and the video feedback was really good. Awesome. Couldn't have been any better. So, how was the filming process for you?
Well, for me it was a bit different because, like I said, exactly this time last year we released the propeller video and I went on the whole premiere tour and then right after that I just jumped in filming for this. And my daughter was just born at that time too. So, it's been a hard one to juggle, you know, like the balance between family life and traveling and all that. So, but, yeah, it's been fun.
Like, did a bunch of trips. I'm stoked with what I got. And for the amount of time I had and everything, it couldn't be any happier. Cool.
So, with the drones and the 4K cameras and all that, was that more pressure? Do you want more pressure? No, no, no, no. No, not really more pressure, but it was just like, you know, sometimes it would have been easier or more convenient for me if I could do stuff at home, you know.
But not everyone has a 4K camera lying around, you know. So, that was a bit difficult for me, like, because I always had to go and meet up with their film and do stuff and all that, you know. So, that was a bit hard, but I didn't feel pressure because of the camera or whatever. I don't care what the guy is holding his hand, like what I have to deal with is in front of me.
So, they do their stuff. So, did you have like a trick list for when you went somewhere or did you just feel out? Would you just come and just go with it? No, no, I just go with it.
You know, I don't like climbing stuff out, you know. For me, I get up in the morning, I go out in the street and it's all decided in the first few meters of rolling, it's like, is this going to be a good day or not? And then I just, you know, go with the flow wherever I end up, you know. But there's certain spots I've been to and, you know, I did a trick and I was like, I think I could, you know, do more than so I went back and luckily I actually worked out.
I was able to one up a few things I'd done a few years back, so that was good. What's your like, you know, you go to a spot set stage or whatever. What's your, you'll go to, you'll go to, you feel comfortable doing it. I'll eat for sure.
And then from there? From there, it depends on what I want to get into. If I want to like bring the frustration out by trying to flip my board. So, no, it's different day to day, different.
Some days flip work. Some days I just want to just keep the board on the feet. I'm going to do the Ollie. What's your favorite trick?
My savagely sat-side trick today. Ollie, because I think for me skateboarding is about being in movement, you know, like constantly and like, you know, go out and then make your way from A to B and then be able to like get past obstacles that are in your way, you know, just keeps getting in touch. Yeah, but Ollie never drains and stuff like that. Or in the drain or in the fucking hydrant or whatever is in your electric box.
I think for me that's the most rewarding thing. Sometimes like, yeah, I'll try flip tricks and all that stuff. But what makes me like, you know, like, I always say electric box, you know, like, because you've got such a big ollie you're just like, you know, electric box. Yeah, no, but like, it's like, you see certain things.
Like I think I could, like I've measured stuff and like, I know the limit is like my belly button. So, so sometimes from far away you're rolling up to something and like, maybe this is still on the belly button so I might give it a go. I don't know. I just love it.
We were just in New York like we had one day of skating and like, that's the way I like skating man. We just like left the hotel, didn't have to get in a van or whatever, just cruising through Manhattan from one spot to the other and that's skateboarding for me. That's what I enjoy the most. Awesome.
Was there a part of, are you seeing the film? So what part of film was there a particular part of film you really enjoyed the most? So not necessarily any person's section but just a certain part of it. Yeah, I, what I really liked a lot is the pool section they have in there.
It's like a designated pool section and there's some drone shots in there and stuff, you know. But just the way that part is put together and who's part of it. Like it's got so much energy, it's unbelievable. Like you're watching that and you're like, fuck I want to get some right now.
And then you have it like all in the crispy ultra HD and like, you can literally feel the frontside grind on the hood. It's crazy. And that's like, when we're doing this I was like man, the table is necessary to have like, this microphone or this 4K. But now that I've seen the end result it just all makes sense.
It goes under the skin if you're watching it. So you can feel the concrete. It's insane. It stands out.
I love the X and all that. But after I saw this I'm like, if someone's got a 4K camera, all right, it's good. Yeah, too, right. Nothing wrong with it.
So you did a very much travelling. Yeah. Which particular place you went to or a particular spot that you liked the most that you definitely want to go back to. Yeah, like I did a trip to Mallorca.
Like we have a family vacation house there. So in our seasons I like going to Mallorca because there's like a bunch of spots to skate there. And then if there's no tourists around you can even skate the hotels and shit, you know. And so I like going to Mallorca and there's like a bunch of spots to skate there.

And so I like going to Mallorca and there's like this one spot, like this channel gap I've been going to over the years. And I just made the kickflip over and so I'm thinking on the front side of the commit next to it's like my personal battleground, right? So have you got any projects lined up?
Were you going to try and take it easy for a little bit after doing the whole front of the tower? I mean, there's always projects. It's never ends. Like after this we just did the Volcom anti-Rocolago.
So when that drops I want to release a video for that as well, like a little clip, you know. So we're going to go back to New York for that in July and then there's a motorcycle trip coming out. But then after that, like I really want to have the rest of the summer with my kids at home. Since my kids have been born like for summers I've been heavily, you know, you're lined out for skateboarding and stuff.
But it's good that this is what feeds my family. So I got to do my shit. Do you think you're going to get them into skateboarding or just whatever they want to do? Whatever they want to do.
If they don't use skateboarding I'll be happy to. I know they're getting wrecked over. It's better for my nursing. No, it's great.
I get scared. I don't care. I fall down whatever. But I see my kids fall down and I'm like, such a little pussy about it.
My wife is always like, fuck you. I'm fucking falling down 20 stairs and like, the kid trips and you're almost crying. But it's my kids. I don't know how great I'm falling.
And I don't care about it. But my kids are saying something different. It seems so. Okay, so I've been asking everyone what their favorite graphics are at all time for a board.
For you, have you got, I mean, yeah, is there a particular board that you love the graphic on? Any character boards or any boards? Yeah. I have one that I have at home and it's the crooked band of the still board.
And that has some kind of sentimental value as well due to what happened. But also I'm like, really, my favorite graphics have always been an anti-hero graphic. So now that I ended up on it, I'm like, yep. So they're just a classic eagle with the...
Yeah, classic eagle is like my favorite. That's what I like writing the most. But any other cardie outboard? I'm down to fucking hang that on the wall too.
Have you seen some of the real skateboards that have done the my favorite skaters series? Yeah, that was really cool. So they've got like Justin Rock's, is my favorite skaters cardie out of the year? Yeah, that looks cool.
Kyle has Andrew with all this stuff, yeah. No, but the guys that he loves my nickel with the graphics. Yeah. The crooked, real, and anti-hero graphics.
Yeah, really cool. What size are you? Eight and a quarter, eight to five. Eight to five, yeah.

Like when I first started skating like a, you know, that's just like late nineties. Yeah. Seven, seven, five. It was the thing.

It can still flip and it doesn't break that quickly. I like when I first kicked at eight to five. I was like, that's really nice to land on. It was so easy.
And everything's more subtle too, you know? Yeah. Nah, but like above that, for me, it's difficult then it gets to heavy. Eight to five, bro.

I mean, they've always killed it with their videos and everything and this one is just one more on top of it proper and the people are really going to be stuck on it. It really shows the vibe of the company, you know, like how the team is really close together and everything.
