2: What is Coaching and How is it Different from Therapy?

from Navigating Baby Loss · host Jennifer Senn

Send Jen a Text MessageWhat is Pregnancy Loss Coaching and how do I know if I need this or therapy?  I wanted to share what a Pregnancy Loss Coach is, how I became one, and why I think it's so helpful for parents who are struggling following a stillbirth. I tell my story about how I found myself in my first coaching session as a business owner just wanting to learn the nuts and bolts of business, but little did I know I really needed some life coaching to uncover the success in my business and life. I tell why I decided to become one as soon as I knew how it could fulfill my desire to help others through this tragic loss. Here are the main differences:You could benefit from coaching if: You could use support surrounding your thoughts about your loss You are struggling to get back to day-to-day life Your grief is affecting your relationships or getting in the way of your work You would like to have another baby but are too afraid to try againTherapy may be necessary if: You have overwhelming grief to the point where you can't sleep or eat You are having suicidal thoughts, or thoughts of harming yourself or others You have issues from the past that is affecting your daily life It would help if you had someone to make a diagnosis and prescribe medication. In a nutshell, therapy focuses on the past traumas that are affecting how you operate in your everyday life and is a modality of treatment for healing disorders, and coaching focuses on the future and what it is you want to create for your life.Facebook Page- https://www.facebook.com/navigatingbabylossInstagram- https://www.instagram.com/navigatingbabyloss/Website- https://www.jennifersenn.comFREE- 3 Video Series- https://jennifersenncoaching.ck.page/videoshttps://navigatingbabyloss.com/workshopFree workshop for moms grieving stillbirth or pregnancy loss.
