2. What to Do if You Hate Your Job + 5 Questions to Help You Find Your Dream Career

Do you hate your job? Are you struggling to find the right career path? If so, it's time to sit down and do some analysis (because yes, you deserve to have an amazing and fulfilling career). Before you can find your dream career, you need to drill down exactly what you like and don't like. You can start by asking yourself these 5 questions. What don't you like about your current job? The more specific the better. Why did you pursue this area or career in the first place? What do you like about it?What are some things that you liked or disliked about previous jobs?If you didn't have to go to work but you still had to occupy a large portion of your time, what would you do? How would you spend your days?What would prevent you from making a change? What are some obstacles you may encounter? Then, once you get a good grasp on what you do and don't like, it's a matter of applying that information by asking yourself the following:If there are some aspects about your job that you don't like (not enough time off), could you ask for what you want and potentially make your current job work for you?If the company is the problem, would a similar job at a different company be a better fit? Maybe a more flexible role or working for a company that has more perks?If you no longer think the type of job you have is a good fit for you, what are some things that you've liked in the past? Is there an area that you're really interested in?Lastly, if you're struggling with both your job structure and your type of job, would working for yourself be a viable option? You do need to pay a monthly fee to access Flexjobs but in my mind it's worth it. With other websites in can be hard to find fully remote jobs and there are also a lot of fake postings out there. Use code SAVE30 to get 30% off your first month. Remote.io: This is a free website with a variety of remote jobs. Indeed: Indeed is pretty much the holy grail for job searching. To find remote jobs you can type "work from home" into the location field or you can start doing job searches and then filter to "remote."Upwork: Upwork is a great place to find freelance work.
