This week we're bypassing the randomizer for yet another Guest's Choice episode, in which our good friend Chris Nebergall makes us watch one of Walt Disney's more acclaimed live-action features, a 1954 megahit Jules Verne adaptation featuring groundbreaking special effects, an Oscar-winning director, three Oscar-nominated actors and an intelligent screenplay that didn't talk down to the audience. Basically, it was one of the far-too-infrequent times in Walt's career when he swung for the fences and made a real MOVIE, but of course, Walt being Walt, it also still had both copious racism AND an adorable animal sidekick who's just kinda there for no reason.
