20/20 Vision, Part 2: Farsighted

(Proverbs 29:18)  "Where there is no vision, the people perish…" Vision falls into one of 5 categories:·        No vision·        A low vision·        A wrong vision·        A vague vision·        A God vision(Ephesians 3:20 Message)  "God can do anything—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!" What's our Big Picture? (Farsighted Vision) Put up the logo with the words: Loving God, Loving People, Loving Life (Mark 16:15) "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." (1 John 3:18) "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." (Colossians 1:28-29)  "We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.  To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me." Freedom Pathway to Growth            Some sort of logo would be cool Core Value #4: Present everyone perfect·        Freedom Dream Team How do we live out this farsighted vision? 1.  Share your story with others.(Romans 10:13-14)  "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  But who can ask them to save them unless they believe in him?  And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him?  And how can they hear about him unless someone tells him?" (Jude 1:23)  "…snatch others from the fire and save them." (1 Corinthians 9:22)  "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." (1 Corinthians 14:24-25)  "But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understand comes in…he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all, and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, 'God is really among you!'" 2.  Do life with other believers.(1 John 3:16 NLT)  "We know what real love is because Christ gave up His life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters." (Proverbs 27:17)  "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Acts 20:20)  "You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house." 3.  Become like Christ.(Ephesians 4:15 Message)  "God wants us to grow up ... like Christ in everything." (Ephesians 4:11-13)  "(God) gave some to be pastors…to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." 4.  Serve God by serving others.(Ephesians 2:10)  "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."(1 Peter 4:10)  "Each one should use whatever gift he's received to serve others." (Matthew 25:21)  "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things so; I will put you in charge of many things.  Come and share your master's happiness!"
