#20: Conviction, Repentance, and Freedom in Christ

QuestionsSo often we hide in our shame and guilt because we’re afraid of being honest about how broken we are. What if I told you the only way to true freedom is to really confront sin and call it what it is?!In this episode we talk about conviction and how it really is a gift because it’s a sign of the Holy Spirit at work within you.We also talk about the power of confessing our sins to God and confessing our sins to trusted believers who care more about our holiness than our comfort and aren’t afraid to call us out. Here’s the good news: We are COVERED by the blood of Jesus!!!! He is faithful and just to cleanse and forgive us!!!Scriptures Referenced:Romans 12:21 John 1:9James 5:16Proverbs 18:21Ephesians 4:29Gracious God, our sins are too heavy to carry too real to hide, and too deep to undo. Forgive what our lips tremble to name, what our hearts can no longer bear, and what has become for us a consuming fire of judgement. Set us free from a past that we cannot change, open to us a future in which we can be changed, and grant us grace to grow more and more in your likeness and image through Jesus Christ, the light of the world.Follow @832podcast to stay updated on new episodes and resources, and please leave a review to help more people find this podcast! :)
