A KCRA Sacramento investigation by Ashley Zavala found California’s Fast Food Council—created as part of the state’s landmark fast-food minimum wage law—has not held a full meeting in nearly two years and has been without a chairperson for more than a year. Despite its authority over workplace standards and wages, the council remains inactive as Gov. Gavin Newsom says a replacement appointment is pending.
