20 - The Blob (1988)

Odds and Ends: A serious topic as we discuss the recent tragedy on the set of "Rust;" I'm glad that's our only intro topic on this one, because I feel weird trying to add in jokes here in the description next to that story Feature Film: "Dream Warriors" writer/director team Chuck Russell and Frank Darabont return with their remake of "The Blob," the 80's creature feature remake that's NOT "The Thing" or "The Fly," but definitely follows a similar naming and remaking convention. Listen as we gush over the visual effects, lovingly consume the campy dialogue and characters, and devour the concept of the "big jump" Kevin Dillon makes in the movie. I was going for some blob-like adverbs there, but I think I lost steam near the end. Or... lost... gelatinous mass or something. I stopped moving because I froze up. Sure.
