2005-06-26 The Creation Connection

Before exploring the incredible heroes of faith in Hebrews 11, this message establishes the all-time fundamental foundational issue being hotly debated today: creationism versus evolution. Discover why there's no sense talking about God's Word until settling understanding of God as Creator, and why evolutionary theory simply places billions of incomprehensible years in place of God. Learn how believing God merely spoke and created worlds establishes profound respect for Scripture, prophecy, moral teaching, and declarations about eternity. Explore why replacing creationism with materialism makes the perceivable world ultimate reality, leading people to conclude "lights out" at death because that's what they see without faith. Follow Paul's approach in Acts 17 where he addresses Athenian evolutionists not by starting with Christ crucified—which sounds foolish to those without creation understanding—but by establishing "the God who made the world and everything in it," revealing God created people from one man for relationship with Himself and set a judgment day proved by Christ's resurrection.
